  • Is it easy to apply Aqua-Shield?

 Yes! All you have to do is follow our simple step-by-step instructions provided. Please check out our Installation Instructions & Videos. Mistakes and poor applications of Aqua-Shield are easily correctable. It can be removed and reapplied without losing its original quality of protection or its look.

  • The instructions say that my device must be off for 24 hours after application. Is this necessary?

Yes, the post-application of Aqua-Shield is just as important as the actual application. 24 hours are required so that any moisture from the application procedure can dry up, allowing the Military Shield to set in. Following these instructions will ensure the highest quality of protection against any damage to your device.

  • Is Aqua-Shield removable after being installed?

Yes, not only is it removable, but it can also be reapplied. In order to remove Aqua-Shield, slowly and carefully peel it off starting from one corner.

  • Will Aqua-Shield leave any residue?

No, your device is preserved in the same condition before the film was applied. Unlike some other film protectors, Aqua-Shield leaves no sticky residue.

  • Is Aqua-Shield effective against scratches, impact, and dings?

Aqua-Shield only protects against scratches, abrasions, and normal wear & tear. It will not be able to absorb serious impact damage that would otherwise break your device.

  • Can I use Aqua-Shield on a device that fits within a case?

Aqua-Shield is ultra-thin and measures under 1 mm thick. It should be compatible with most cases, but it's also possible that the combination will not fit. That's why we offer the case friendly version for our screen protectors, which is slightly smaller along the edges. Check with your case manufacturer for compatibility.

  • How do I apply Aqua-Shield on my device?

  • Is Aqua-Shield safe to use on my personal device?

Aqua-Shield is ultra-thin and measures under 1 mm thick. It should be compatible with most cases, but it's also possible that the combination will not fit. That's why we offer the case friendly version for our screen protectors, which is slightly smaller along the edges. Check with your case manufacturer for compatibility.

  • The Aqua-Shield is not sticking to the corners. What do I do?

Method 1: Wait 2-5 hours for the adhesive side of Aqua-Shield to become more dry and tacky. Then try to apply the corners again.
Method 2: Apply pressure on the corner with your palm for 1 minute until it dries and sticks on.
Method 3: Use a hairdryer to heat and dry the corner. It will become soft and easier to stick on. Do not heat for over 20 seconds.

  • How do I apply smaller pieces of Aqua-Shield on small surfaces (dime-sized, etc.)?

Use moistened fingertips to pick up the small piece, lightly spray solution onto the adhesive side, place it down on the surface, and use squeegee to push out moisture. Be careful not to spray too much because this will not allow the small piece to stick. If the small piece is too moist, let it become dry and tacky before trying to apply it.

  • The Aqua-Shield is not sticking to the corners. What do I do?

  • I applied Aqua-Shield incorrectly. How much time do I have to reapply it?

If Aqua-Shield becomes misaligned, has air bubbles, or has dust underneath from the installation process, you have about 5 minutes before Aqua-Shield becomes dry and tacky, making it much more difficult to remove. In order to reapply Aqua-Shield, spray your fingertips with the solution, peel off the film slowly starting from one corner, and redo the installation process. If your Aqua-Shield caught dust underneath, you may use water to rinse it out and then spray the solution on the shield once again to reapply.

  • How do I remove Aqua-Shield?

If you ever need to remove the Aqua-Shield, simply peel it off with your fingers starting from one corner. It comes off clean and does not leave any sticky residue. If you would like to reapply it, make sure to spray solution on the adhesive side while you are peeling it off. Separate Aqua-Shield to ensure it does not stick together. After you have successfully peeled it off, immediately spray on the solution and follow the installation process again.

  • Why is there a random cutout on my screen protector?

We include a cutout for the proximity sensor of your device. This is to prevent the Aqua-Shield from affecting the sensitivity of the sensor. If you wish to cover the proximity sensor, please contact Customer Service and we will be more than happy to assist you.

  • Why does my screen protector have cutouts and holes?

This is to ensure proper functionality of your device. Covering up the sensors, camera, earpiece, or buttons may affect the performance of your device by affecting mechanical or electronic features.

  • My question is not listed in this FAQ.
